I. Introduction to Communication Cold Shrink Tubing
Communication cold shrink tubing uses silicone rubber as its raw material, pre-expanded onto a removable support tube, and shrinks at room temperature due to elastic recoil. Some models also feature an inner lining with putty to enhance the product's sealing performance. It offers advantages such as insulation, sealing, protection, small size, convenient and quick operation, no need for special tools, and wide applicability. Compared to heat shrink products, it requires no heating tools and maintains a tight seal even under thermal expansion and contraction, preventing gaps from forming due to temperature changes.
II. Product Characteristics
- 1. Easy to install, requiring only manual operation, no heating or special tools are needed, and no hot melt glue or tape is required to reinforce the seal at the joints;
- 2. Suitable for connecting and sealing cables of a wide range of specifications, it can be used for power and communication cables in indoor, outdoor, overhead, underwater or buried applications.
- 3. It has strong resilience, large radial shrinkage force, and small permanent deformation. Even after long-term use, it still maintains constant radial pressure on the cable. It is tightly sealed and has excellent moisture-proof, waterproof, and dustproof performance.
- 4. Because EPDM has excellent resilience and "elastic memory", it can "breathe" with the seal, so it can achieve excellent sealing effect and maintain a very good sealing effect even in dynamic environments with wind blowing and swaying.
- 5. Excellent resistance to salt spray corrosion, acid and alkali, ozone aging, weathering, and ultraviolet aging;
- 6. It has high mechanical strength, good flexibility, and excellent physical and mechanical properties such as puncture resistance, wear resistance, flexural resistance, and fatigue resistance.
