EVA Coat K7600(HS) Thick Film Epoxy Polyamide Intermediate Coating
Product Introduction:
EVA COAT K7600(HS) is a two-component, high-solids, thick-film epoxy coating with excellent application adaptability. It is specifically designed as an intermediate coat on ferrous substrates to enhance overall corrosion protection. Its fast-drying mechanism effectively reduces coating time and improves work efficiency; its versatility allows it to be used as a primer or intermediate coat, and can be directly applied as a topcoat, providing high application flexibility. The high-solids formulation helps form a thick, durable film, combined with rapid curing and excellent film strength, providing outstanding corrosion protection even in harsh environments such as high salinity and high humidity.
characteristic:
1. Excellent corrosion resistance: Exhibits strong rust and corrosion resistance, suitable for harsh environmental conditions.
2. Excellent waterproof performance: Provides long-lasting protection in humid environments and has superior water resistance properties.
3. Fast drying efficiency: shortens the recoating interval and significantly improves construction efficiency.
4. Excellent adhesion: Forms a strong bond with epoxy primer and iron surfaces, enhancing coating durability.
use:
Rust-proof protective coating for the outer surfaces of carbon steel structures, pipelines, steel frames, storage tanks, coastal facilities, chemical plants, ships, etc.

Instructions for use:
Surface treatment requirements:
Use a solvent to remove visible grease, oil, lubricants, cutting fluid, and other soluble contaminants from the metal surface that may affect adhesion, or use other methods to prepare the surface condition for the coating application, following the SSPC-SP1 surface treatment standard to prepare for subsequent protective coating applications.
The steel structure surface must be sandblasted to Sa2.5 (very thorough sandblasting) or SSPC-SP10 grade. Without using a magnifying glass, at least 95% of the surface area should be free of any visible oil, grease, dust, dirt, scale, rust, coatings, oxides, corrosion products, and other foreign matter. The surface roughness should be in the range of Rz 30-75μm.
Power tool treatment must meet St 3. This standard defines the use of power tools (such as power wire brushes, grinders, abrasive discs, etc.) to remove loose rust, scale, old coatings, and other foreign matter from steel surfaces until the surface has a metallic sheen. However, minor scratches and discoloration are permissible. It is equivalent to SSPC-SP3 in the US SSPC standard.
Surface defect treatment: This includes weld slag, burrs, cracks, and holes. These defects affect the adhesion and protective effect of the coating and should be removed or repaired as much as possible.
After surface treatment, a thorough inspection should be conducted to ensure that there are no contaminants or defects such as oil, grease, dust, dirt, scale, rust, welding slag, or burrs before proceeding with the next step.
Under any atmospheric conditions, it is best to perform the coating work within 1 hour after the completion of the "surface treatment" procedure, and no later than 8 hours after the "surface treatment".
Different coatings have different requirements for surface cleanliness and roughness. Please discuss this in detail with our sales staff before using this product.
Construction environment requirements:
Coating application should be carried out under suitable environmental conditions to ensure the quality of the coating. The following factors should be considered:
Temperature: Please construct within the recommended temperature range. Generally, it is not advisable to construct in environments below 5℃ or above 40℃.
Humidity: Relative humidity should not exceed 85%. Avoid construction in humid or rainy weather.
Wind speed: Excessive wind speed will affect the spraying effect; avoid construction on windy days.
Surface temperature: The surface temperature of the steel should be at least 3°C higher than the dew point temperature to avoid condensation on the surface.
Storage:
Storage validity period: 2 years
This product must be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and fire.
