Description

Rust converter technically simplifies the phosphating process by reacting directly with rust to convert it into a protective film. This causes the surface rust to disappear, transforming it into a grey/black, durable, crystalline polymer protective coating. This protective film bonds firmly to the base iron, effectively preventing the metal from rusting again. It serves as an excellent primer before painting or plastic coating, offering strong adhesion for subsequent coatings. If applied to non-rusted iron surfaces, it also provides excellent anti-rust protection. Additionally, the rust converter can perform degreasing, derusting, phosphating, and passivation in a single step at room temperature.

Instructions for Use

  1. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned; remove any paint, dust, grime, oil, water, or other debris that may interfere with application.
  2. When wiping the workpiece, apply pressure evenly using a "push-pull" motion; avoid using a "circular" motion.
  3. Wait for the workpiece to dry before wiping away any dust with a dry cloth.
  4. After the object is brushed, the passivation process continues; therefore, it should not be washed or exposed to rain. Allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated area to ensure the formation of the phosphate layer. In humid seasons, a fan can be used to accelerate drying.
  5. One application is generally sufficient, though for heavily rusted equipment, two applications may be used. After wiping, inspect the surface; the standard is a uniform, continuous, dust-free phosphate film with no streaking, dripping, or re-rusting.
