Applications of Polymer:
Anionic Polymer is used in the coagulation, thickening, and sedimentation processes in wastewater treatment. Anionic Polymer is also used as an additive in industry. Depending on the type of water, there are various applications for Anionic Polymer based on the purpose and the type of water being treated:
Surface water: Anionic Polymer is used for surface water because it contains many positive ions such as Fe, Mn, etc.
Industrial wastewater: Anionic Polymer combined with other coagulants such as PAC and Polytetsu contributes to increased treatment efficiency.
Municipal wastewater: Using polymer for municipal wastewater involves inorganic coagulation combined with Anionic Polymer.
Sludge dewatering after treatment: Inorganic sludge requires Anionic Polymer flocculant, while Cationic Polymer flocculant is suitable for organic sludge treatment.
Anionic Polymer is also used as an additive and binder in aquatic feed. When polymer is added to water, colloidal particles are broken down and bonded together into flocs, which then settle, making them easier to remove from the water.
