Precautions for using Potassium hydroxide: This is a highly corrosive chemical; therefore, safety measures such as wearing masks, gloves, and protective clothing must be taken when handling it. When not in use, it must be sealed tightly because of its high hygroscopicity. Exposure to air for long periods can easily cause degradation.
